EMCELLE®-D3 LIQUID is a white-colored, micellized, water-soluble solution of vitamin D3. Each fl. oz. contains 2,500,000 I.U. vitamin D (84,500 I.U./mL).
Vitamin D activity is provided as cholecalciferol, an oily liquid that is micellized making this oil-soluble vitamin completely water-soluble. The micellization process enhances the ability of animals to utilize vitamin D and other fat-soluble vitamins. The process allows solubilized fat-soluble vitamins to be absorbed more readily than dry, oil-based, or emulsion-forms of fat-soluble vitamins. Non-micellized supplemental vitamin D has to be micellized (made water soluble) in the small intestine prior to being absorbed. With EMCELLE, that step is not required.
The product is specially formulated for use in drinking water or may be orally administered to newborn pigs. The product should not be mixed into complete feeds and stored for extended periods of time due to the unstable form of vitamin D in the product.

??????? ?????? ?????????? ???????? Newborns depend on colostrum and milk to provide adequate vitamin E and vitamin A, provided the dam has received adequate levels during gestation. For vitamin D, neonates depend upon placental transfer to meet their needs since colostrum and milk contain very low levels of vitamin D. A reduced vitamin E, vitamin A and vitamin D intake can result in marginal deficiencies that may not be visible. Intramuscular or subcutaneous injections offer an efficient and rapid method to increase the status of these critically important vitamins for neonates. ????????? ????????? ?????????
